ALL-ON-4/6 TREATMENT CONCEPT

We utilize cutting-edge 3D imaging techniques to assess precisely which treatment option(s) are best for you. Using 3D images of your jaw, we evaluate bone quality, volume and quantity. Approximately 95% of patients, with or without teeth, are candidates for the All-On-4/6 Treatment Concept.

We also perform virtual surgery before you are even in the dentist’s chair – meaning that you can see what your results will look like before the surgery happens!

Published studies show a 98.2% success rate in the lower jaw. Other studies show a 97 to 98% success rate in the upper jaw. Occasionally, an implant will fail. Knowing this, we carefully evaluate bone quality and quantity prior to your procedure and may set additional implants as a precautionary measure. This makes our success rate even higher.

In contrast to dentures, All-On-4/6 Treatment Concept dental implants are:

  • Permanent teeth that look and feel like natural teeth
  • Stable, allowing you to bite down forcefully and eat all your favorite foods.
  • More comfortable than dentures, as they don’t press down on your gums.
  • Firmly in place, letting you enjoy your food with no worries about slippage.
  • Healthy for your mouth because they stimulate the bone, thus preventing further deterioration.
  • Comfortable — no more gagging!
  • Effortless to live with — no more nightly removal and cleaning; no more messy, sticky adhesives

Dental implants are the state of the art in modern dentistry. They are small titanium “fixtures” that take the place of the natural root of the tooth. Gently implanted into the bone, these tiny titanium roots actually bond with bone more securely than natural root. Most often, the implant is more stable than a natural tooth’s root.
Scientific research for more than three decades in the United States and abroad has conclusively demonstrated titanium is biologically compatible with the human body. Studies have shown that the earliest patients treated with these modern implants continue to enjoy healthy, stable smiles.

The recovery is quick — usually about two days, with less pain than when your natural teeth were extracted.

The All-On-4/6 Treatment Concept surgery is virtually painless. After the numbness wears off, you will experience a little swelling and soreness for a few days. Many patients return to their normal routines (including work) one to two days after surgery. This adjustment time is required not due to pain or discomfort, but because patients must get used to the presence of their new teeth, which may affect their speech slightly at first.

Because of the hidden metal framework we are able to include in our prefabrication process, your new teeth will be strong and stable. You will be able to eat most foods right away (except for hard, brittle or very chewy foods), and you will be able to return to an unrestricted diet within a few weeks.

Our method eliminates this “line” in most patients. As part of your initial examination, we evaluate your smile to determine where the junction of the fixed bridge and the jaw bone will be. During the All-On-4/6 Treatment Concept procedure, we make adjustments to ensure that your new smile is not too “gummy” and that the edge of your bridge is completely hidden.

Most of the time, 4 implants are used. If we find it is necessary (due to lack of bone quality or quantity), we will set additional implants to ensure the strength and longevity of your new teeth.

The All-On-4/6 Treatment Concept is fairly new, and not all dentists are comfortable performing this procedure. The OMA team are All-On-4/6 Treatment Concept specialists, and have been performing this procedure since it became available.
Other, more traditional treatments can also be good options. When you come in for a consultation, we evaluate your condition and make a custom diagnosis as to what treatment would be best for you.

In the great majority of cases, we are able to set 4 implants and restore a full arch of teeth without bone grafting. Computer guidance with 3D imaging allows us to plan the exact placement of each implant at an angle that makes maximum use of the existing bone, thereby avoiding bone grafting.
